Scion tC

Went in a different direction with the processing on this one. Not necessarily the right direction, mind you.

If you want a spiffy looking Scion tC like this one - you can't buy it. Not here in Canada, anyway - not yet. Also, this particular tC has been enhanced with a rear wing, rims and a fairly beefy body kit. Looks pretty good, actually.

I couldn't be bothered to do anything about the goofy-looking guy on the TV, obviously.

1967 Ford GT40 Mark VII

#3 car of Lucien Bianchi/Mario Andretti from the 1967 24 Heures du Mans, here painted with the more famous #1. On display in the Carroll Shelby exhibit at the Canadian International AutoShow.

Just couldn't resist posting one more photo of this very handsome and historic race car.

"Standard" B&W conversion using Photoshop's channel mixer, background blur from the "diffuse glow" filter, plus an aged photo frame courtesy of Filter Forge. The car is bright yellow with black racing stripes.

1955 Oldsmobile 98 Holiday 4-door Hardtop

Powered by an Oldsmobile Rocket V8, of 324 cubic inch displacement, making 202 horsepower through a 4-speed Hydromantic Super Drive automatic transmission. This car was a finalist in the 2010 Cruise Nationals, and came, at the price of $3,140, with power steering, brakes, windows, and seats, a padded dash, day/night rear-view mirror, "autronic magic eye headlight dimmer", a fold-down rear seat armrest, lights under the hood an din the trunk, deluxe wheel covers, 4-inch wide whitewall tires and a built-in twelve volt electrical system.

All that, and it looked good, too. And just check out that hood logo!

Canadian International AutoShow, Toronto.

1964/1965 Cobra "Daytona Coupe" CSX 2299

Pete Brock designed this fastback, said to be inspired in part by 1930s-vintage German high-speed bus designs intended for the new Autobahn system of highways.

Apparently this car's drag coefficient of 0.029 is about as good as anything available today. Bob Bondurant and Dan Gurney drove cars like this to the FIA World Maufacturer's Championship in 1965. Only six were constructed; if you were able to buy one for your collection, it would probably cost over $7 million.

This car won:
- GT class, Goodwood Tourist Trophy (Gurney), 1964
- GT class, Le Mans (Bondurant/Gurney), 1964
- GT class, Daytona 24 hour (Jo Schlesser/Hal Keck), 1965
- GT class, Sebring 12 hour (Bondurant/Schlesser), 1965

It also raced in the 1964 Rheims 12 hour and Tour de France, not finishing either time, and in the '65 Le Mans (2nd in GT), Oulton Park Tourist Trophy, and Coppa di Enna 500 Kilometer in Sicily (2nd in GT), at the hands of various drivers.

Bad lighting, pop-up flash and generally poor photography have resulted in this somewhat over-the-top treatment.

1954 Austin-Healey 100S

1954 Austin-Healey 100S. Only 55 were built, with all-wheel disc brakes and all-aluminum coachwork. Power is from a specially built 2.7-litre engine.

Although labeled "Carrera Panamericana", there was no indication that this particular car actually raced in that storied event. Ones like it certainly did, though.

Carroll Shelby exhibit, Toronto AutoShow 2010. Experimental treatment including some Filter Forge "grunge" and film frame, optikVerve sepia, and really pushing the highlights and shadows in CS2 to "thin out" the tonal range.

playing with scribe seo wp plugin

was very skeptical at first.. i mean it does cost $97/month (!), but i got in on a 27/mon lock-in introductory offer. but i will admit after a few times of using it, it's handy. tells me what tags to use, keywords to swap out for greater priority, and so on
